BYR Publishing House operates as a small academic press. Submitted manuscripts
are reviewed by the director and the relevant series editor in consultation
with subject specialists. For our two regional handbooks (the
Kırgızistan and Kazakistan volumes), each chapter was
written by a scholar in that field; the editor coordinated review and revision.
For our critical reprint series, we work with academic libraries and area
specialists to ensure faithful reproduction of the original sources, with
our own pagination preserved alongside the original.
We do not currently maintain a standing editorial board with formal terms;
decisions on individual manuscripts are made by the director in consultation
with the relevant series editor and one or more external readers familiar
with the subject. Authors interested in proposing a manuscript should
consult our Submissions page.
